  • Hymn 1:To God Be the Glory
  • 1. To God be the glory, great things He hath done, So loved He the world that He gave us His Son, Who yielded His life our redemption to win, And opened the life-gate that all may go in.
  • Chorus: Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the earth hear His voice; Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the people rejoice; Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son, And give Him the glory; great things He hath done.
  • 2. Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood, To every believer the promise of God; The vilest offender who truly believes, That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
  • 3. Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done, And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son; But purer, and higher, and greater will be Our wonder, our transport when Jesus we see.
  • Introduction
  • TEJUMOLA ADEPEJU and JOHNSON OLADAPO On this day, you stand apart from all other beings. You stand within the beautiful circle of your love. For this reason, we are here in the presence of God to join you in Holy Matrimony.
  • God has declared that marriage is an honorable and desirable estate. It was designed by God to bring the ultimate in happiness and personal satisfaction. The basic guidelines are that you put God first, the welfare of your mate, second and yourself last.

  • Charge to the Groom and Bride Minister.
  • Now, let me speak to your hearts. As you pursue happiness in your married life, I charge you both to be true to these vows you are about to make to each other. With your marriage from this day forward, you begin your life anew; with larger responsibilities.
  • JOHNSON OLADAPO , guard well this bride who now commits herself into your care and so live in a way that no word or deed of yours shall cloud her brow with grief or her eyes with tears.
  • TEJUMOLA ADEPEJU , it will be your part to retain your virtue and your heart of gold
  • And to both of you, I would say: let not your voices lose their tender tones of affection nor forget the tender rays of love with which they shone in your courtship days.
  • As you listen to these promises, I want you to apply it to your lives as a promise to each other. “Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee; for wither thou goest, I will go, and wither thou lodgest I will lodge. Thy people will be my people, and thy God will be my God (Ruth 1: 16).
  • It is your duty to preserve the fidelity of this union. And the greatest of all, let God be enthroned above all else at all times.
  • This marriage in which you have come to be united, is a holy ordinance instituted by God at creation, honoured by Jesus Christ at the wedding in Cana of Galilee and commended by the Holy Spirit as evidenced in the writings of the Apostle Paul to the church at Ephesus.
  • Wives, submit yourself unto your husbands as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
  • (Ephesians 5 : 22 -24 ). Husbands, love your wives even also as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it; So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh. But nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: for we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones (Ephesians 5:25-30).
